Urban Decay NAKED HEAT Collection Review & Swatches: Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette, VICE Lipstick, 24/7 Eyeliner

Burn Baby Burn because Urban Decay is bringing the heat with it's new NAKED HEAT Collection. It's time to get blazed and naked - with new NAKED HEAT. Urban Decay's sultriest neutral palette yet! Warm, Sexy, and insanely flattering, this sweltering palette features 12 all-new scorched neutrals. Complete the look with a limited-edition Vice Lipstick capsule collection AND new shades of 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil - both inspired by Naked Heat. Lets take a look at how UD is turning up the heat!

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette ($54)
Naked heats up - get LIT with 12 ALL-NEW, can't live with out amber hued neutrals - including warm browns, burnt oranges, and rich siennas. From a super-smooth red-brown matte and a glimmering copper to a deep , shifty bronze, this palette has everything you need to create sultry daytime looks, or intensely smoky nighttime looks and everything in between.

When I first saw the outside box, I thought ooh another pretty Naked Palette. Then I opened it up. No, not just another Naked palette...Naked Heat is GORGEOUS just from the casing. The multi-dimensional colors of the packaging and sleek hard case make it beautiful to look at and functional to store.

The colors inside are on fire and exactly what you expect from a palette called HEAT. They are warm, intense, and fiery. As usual Urban Decay gives us the perfect mix of matte and shimmer shades that are all fantastic in pigmentation and color payoff. At this point we all know NAKED palette's are amazing quality and Heat is right up there with the OG's. Also included is one of UD's fantastic double ended blending/detailed crease brushes.

Shades Include:
Ounce (ivory shimmer)
Chaser (light nude matte)
Sauced (soft terra-cotta matte)
Low Blow (brown matte)
Lumbre (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift)
He Devil (burnt red matte)
Dirty Talk (metallic burnt red)
Scorched (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer)
Cayenne (deep terra-cotta matte)
En Fuego (burgundy matte)
Ashes (deep reddish-brown matte)
Ember (deep metallic copper-burgundy)

While this is an excellent warm eyeshadow palette, there is not a lot of contrast. Orange is the new Naked in here. Many of the shades are similar and run together when applied on the eyes. Creating a variety of different looks with just this one palette is possible, but you might find yourself wanting to reach for other eyeshadows to combine it with. I feel like a gold shade or two could have went a long way in here.

My favorite shades were the shimmers. Dirty Talk and Scorched went on beautifully smooth with an intense shine. There are also shades for creating warm matte neutral looks with. Sauced looks lovely in the crease and Cayenne ups the amp even more. I did have some trouble with matte shades En Fuego and Ashes, both applied on the patchy side. Ember has the most amazing metallic shine, definitely try that one over a black base I think it will make a really unique smokey eye.

I am all about the cool tone neutrals of NAKED 2, but to break myself out of a neutral erryday rut this is the palette to do it with. I really love that these are ALL new shades. We are not getting any repeats in here. Other than Ounce being the mandatory cream highlight, none of the other shades look similar to any past Naked palettes. Did you also notice NO GLITTER? Finally, UD didn't put unnecessary chunky glitter in the shimmer. Thank you! With my cool toned skin and hair this may not be the most flattering of the NAKED's for me personally, but I don't have many warm eyeshadows in my collection so I appreciate having the option. NAKED Heat is sure to be another cult favorite!

VICE Lipstick Heat Capsule Collection ($17)
If you haven't seen my previous VICE lipstick reviews, check them HERE and HERE. You know that I am in love the with the creamy, badass luxury that is VICE. I rarely wear any other lipstick any more. With over 100 shades, I think they've got us covered in the lipstick department!

The HEAT Collections features three limited-edition shades housed in rose gold ember casings.

Scorched (Mettalized), Heat (Mettalized), Fuel (Cream)

Scorched and Heat go heavy metal with their Mettalized finished. It's a bit difficult to capture in my swatches, but they both have tiny micro sparkles. Pair these two together for a shimmering sunset ombre lip. Fuel is a gorgeous creamy nude peach, the soft subdued shade balances out the warmth of the eyeshadows. All three of the shades pair perfectly with the NAKED Heat palette whether you're going for a lightly warm or smoldering look.

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils Torch & Alkaline ($20)
24/7 Eyeliner goes on creamy with all day staying power. These are my favorite eyeliners in formula and color selection. Torch is a matte warm amber, it can be used as a base to really bring out the intensity of the Naked Heat eyeshadows. Alkaline takes the smoky eye to new levels in a deep smoldering burgundy. I thought this might be too red, but it leans towards purple. Both of these colors look especially amazing on blue and green eyes! The colors were meant to coordinate with the eyeshadow palette. UD really put some thought in to making this a cohesive collection.

Basically Urban Decay took all of its most amazing products and turned up the heat! This is a super hot collection that has Summer feeling (and Fall?) written all over it! #NakedHeat
