FOTD: Bleached Brows (no bleach required)
Some years back Gwen Stefani bleached her brows and it was tragic! Fast forward to the numerous Runway's & Editorial spreads donning the look and it's still hideous but sooo high fashion. I wanted to refresh my technique on this in demand trend. Not being a model, it looks even more ridiculous on me, but I just love doing transformational "ugly" looks.
I wouldn't recommend bleaching your brows this light, it's just not something that works well for everyday. To get a similar effect run a light concealer through them with a spoolie, it'll lighten them up with out the commitment. I chose the airbrush method for mine using the Dinair Airbrush System. First blanking them out with Dinair matte white, then going in with a skin tone foundation (Dinair Vanilla) to bring a touch of color back in to them. No bleach required.
Hair & makeup was inspired by Francois Nars for Marc Jacobs Spring 2011. Instead of using vaseline, which gets creasy quick, I foiled mettalic green pigments by Lumiere over a black base for depth.

Review/FOTD: Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Shadow & Revlon Lip Butter
I picked up a few of the latest drugstore buzz products over the weekend, Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Gel Shadow's and Revlon Lip Butter's. I love being able to swipe on a cream shadow for quick makeup, and being winter I was looking for something moisturizing to wear on the lips.
Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Tough as Taupe ($7) is a flat "greige" cream. These are nearly identical (maybe even better) than MAC's paint pots & Benefits CC's. They have some really stunning color's in the range including a daring teal and citrus orange. I really hope they expand and introduce a flesh tone or matte vanilla shade. The application is buttery smooth (sans the purple one) and they blend nicely. I had zero creasing throughout the day, and while I didn't give it the 24 hour test drive it held up for 8 hours which is all I usually wear makeup for. This particular shade works fantastic as lower eyeliner. It defines the eye with out being as harsh as black.. I think they may be the best cream eyeshadow's I've used. Totally beats out the high end brands and they're only $7!
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (also around $5-$7) are like a lip balm, lipstick, and gloss all in one. They feel sumptuous on and have a nice amount of pigment for a balm. I chose Candy Apple, Sweet Tart, & Lollipop. Candy Apple is a lovely bright warm red, Sweet Tart a watermelon pink, and Lollipop a fuchsia with violet micro shimmer. I'd recommend these to any one who might be new to or weary of bright lipstick's. They're colorful, but have a wearable translucency to them.
The coolest friends ever, aka mine, gave me some seriously incredible (like I could see her ripped muscles) tickets to Madonna's upcoming MDNA tour for my Birthday! My excitement boiled over in to Madge's signature makeup becoming my fotd. It was so dreary out that I had to set my camera to vivid, so don't freak on the lip color it's really not THAT bright I promise :)

Review: Bullseye Just A Girl... refillable false lash compact & coupon code
Bullseye has released the first ever refillable lash compact. A stylish carrying case for your false eyelashes complete with mirror and lashes of choice available exclusively at Madame Madeline. Nearly all falsies come in annoyingly cheap plastic packaging that once opened never stays put. Lashes slip out, get damaged, lost, you know the drill. This lash compact is a lot like your average powder compact case. It snaps open, you put your lashes in, and close it up for easy travel and lash storage. When you want a new pair just pop out the tray and replace with the next lash refill. The packaging is a chic matte black with a clear front makes the lashes and names easily visible. I wish I had a case like this for all of my lashes!
Bullseye refills are a cinch to replace. Simply remove the empty lash tray and pop in a new tray from Bullseye’s Lash Refill Collection. Just a Girl… Lash Refill Collection includes 18 different styles, each pair of these high quality lashes are handcrafted and made from 100% sterile human hair.
It wasn't the compact that first got my attention, but the names! The "Just a Girl..." collection was inspired by some of the most influential Pop and Rock icons of our time. Each set of lashes goes along with the Artist's individual makeup style, ranging from natural to glamorous. I had a hard time choosing because I wanted to pick my favorite rockin ladies. I narrowed it down to just the lashes I liked the most: Katy, Joan, and Kylie.
Katy gives that slight added lift to the outter corners. Half lashes are great for pin up looks or when you want to show off structured eyeliner and not let it be hidden by a voluminous lash. For this look I did a strong black cat eye with MAC Blacktrack Fluidline and placed MAC Black glitter over it. Katy loves to wear a metallic gold on the lower lashline like Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Lucky.
Joan is similar to Ardell's wispies, a very natural yet glamorous lash. Joan Jett is the epitome of rock n roll with her signature heavy black kohl rimmed eyes, but in the 80's she often sported slashes of cobalt blue and amethyst. MAC royal wink fluidline provided the base with Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Mascara Blue Eyes painted thickly on to lower lashes. To take it further to a glossy grunge effect apply Smith's Rosebud Salve, an all purpose skin product, generously across the lids. I also wore these lashes in my Birthday Party Makeup.
Kylie is a close dupe of MAC #7 lashes. They're the perfect flirty everyday lash that can be worn with natural looks or made glamorous when paired with something more sultry.
