EDDIE FUNKHOUSER Belle De Jour Collection Review & Look

After finding the most amazing liquid liner in the Eddie Funkhouser line I couldn't wait to see what other amazing products this chic and affordable beauty brand had to offer. The Summer Belle De Jour Collection (c/o) was inspired by the French Doll Daylily. A stunning flower with delicate ombre color variations of soft blush pinks and shimmering lavender rose punctuated with crisp provocative details of hot fuchsia, magenta-rose, metallic pink, and smokey purples.

Wearing: Eddie Funkhouser Bedroom Eyes Quad, Black Eye lining Stylus, Quattro Variable Lash Mascara, Peep Show Blush, and EPIC Lip color.
Highly impressed with how soft and flattering every product in Belle De Jour Collection was. Nothing felt over done, just easy to wear colors and products made to make make up accessible and affordable. You won't find a liquid liner that can do a thinner line than this one guarantee it.

Lipstick of the Day: Ruby Woo Circa 1994

I've found new love again with MAC Ruby Woo lipstick. It's known for being the quintessential most immaculate pin up red, but I'm loving it these days for an early 90's/Fiona Apple/Courtney Love/ grunge era makeup look. Getting back to my roots with this face of today along with the rare occurrence of natural day light. Thanks sun...think I could do with seeing you more often :)

For the eyes I went to town muddying it up with several shades in the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and the balm Meet Matt(e) Nude palette's. I don't think Meet Matt(e) gets enough love, weird because dude on the cover is a real stud! Even more attractive are the shadow's inside, these are some crazy good matte's.

Finished up the face with powdery foundation and a darker brow. If this didn't look ever so ill, tortured, and strung out this would be my makeup every day. Emotionally gritty undone rock n roll looks are IT for me.
Product Listing:
Face: Victoria Jackson Foundation Duo Light, Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base SPF 20 Ivory, NARS Laguna Bronzer, LASHEM Blonde Brow Tint & Lift, NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, theBalm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette, Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Roach, Benefit They're Real! Mascara, Bullseye Fiona, Lipstick Queen Red Lipliner, MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick.

Because you can't wear C.Love makeup without serving up some batshit crazy realness :)

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette Review, Swatches, & Look

Too Faced recently updated and re-vamped their Natural Eyes Palette. The original was well loved in my neutral palette's collection and the re-release has just went and improved on what was already great while adding three new shades.

The bulky cardboard box packaging has been replaced with sleek slimmer metal casing. A+ there, that was one of my dislikes with TF's older palette's, they were thick and took up a lot of unnecessary space.
All 9 shadows are gorgeous neutrals separated in to Fashion, Classic, and Day look trio's. It's really a beautiful showing of neutrals, you get every shade you need for a classic neutral eye look.

The new color set as a whole is more cohesive, it's the kind of warmth even us cool tones can wear and the matte's and shimmers are divided about equally. Compared to the original I think this is worth buying again, the formula of the eyeshadow's has improved a lot. No longer are the matte's chalky and shimmer's gritty, every shade is silky and pigmented.

If you have any of Too Faced's recent neutral palette's like My Favorite Things or The Chocolate Bar Palette you'll likely find some similar shades in both of those, but if you don't this is another done right neutral palette that you'll be reaching for daily. Which is exactly what I've been doing.

It's not too special in photograph's but that's where the natural part comes in.  Natural Eyes is a must have for Summer. Pair it with one of the new Melted lipstick's and it's effortless not too "done" makeup, my favorite kind now that the weather's warmed up :)

I just realized like 90% of what's on my face is Too Faced. Yes, I am a Too Faced Whore.

My Halloween Makeup Looks ...the broken photo links

Due to the overwhelming amount of Halloween Makeup traffic I'm receiving on my blog right now my photo bandwidth has already been exceeded for the month and none of my photo's will show up :( So annoying! Most of my Halloween makeup looks I've posted at least a few photo's from each on my facebook page (under the Halloween Album) here:

Giveaway! MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick + Red Lips of the Day

I'm giving away my back-up of the SOLD OUT MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick, enter through the rafflecopter below! This was going to be a review, then I thought that'd be silly when no one can buy it. Then just a FOTD..except my makeup was end of the day face and staging a meltdown in this insufferable 90-degree heat. So giveaway it is! :)  I managed to score RiRi Woo both times it was released. Rarely making it to the bottom of a lipstick before I'm on to the next that 2nd tube will never see the light of day. So I'm giving it to one of YOU!

MAC RiRi Woo is a cool-toned Red with a retro matte finish. I didn't care much that this was a Celeb release. It was the comparison to my favorite red lipstick Ruby Woo given the remix that had me all hell yesss. RiRi is more blue-violet based than Ruby, but not as deeply so as Russian Red. It's a subtle difference, but discernible enough to own all three. I'm perplexed at the reviews of retro matte's being drying, compared to the original this is like hydration city. Rihanna wanted a red to suit every woman and girlfriend nailed it.

Budget Beauty FOTD: Slashing $250 off my Everyday Makeup

Today I'm test driving some pr samples of the new to me budget beauty brand  City Color Cosmetics who recently debuted directly to consumers at IMATS LA along with launching an online store. After being impressed by the $1.99 Ultra Pink Matte Lipstick and quite a few of their other bargain product's it got me thinking how much my everyday makeup look costs and if I could do the same makeup for a whole lot less.
My typical Everyday Makeup Look Products:
NARS Blush ($29), MAC Strada Contour ($21), Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer ($36), Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder ($30), Tarte BB Cream ($34), Anastasia Ash Blonde Brow Pencil ($23), Anastasia Eye Lights Matte ($21), Milani Grandissimo Mascara ($5.49), MAC Blanc Type Eyeshadow ($15), Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette ($50), Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner ($23), Red Cherry Lashes ($1.99), MAC Lip Pencil ($15), MAC Lipstick ($15)
Total: $319.48
The Budget Beauty Everyday Makeup Look Product's & FOTD
City Color Cosmetics Intense Blush Quad 1 ($4.99), NYX Blush Contour Taupe ($4.99), Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer ($7.94), Maybelline Dream Matte Powder ($6.94), City Color BB Cream ($3.99), Maybelline Define a Brow Light Blonde ($5.97), City Color Eyeshadow Primer ($2.99), Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal Cream Shadow Barely Branded ($5.94), Coastal Scents M09 hot pot ($1.99), Cover Girl Super Thick Lash Mascara ($4.24), City Color Gel Eyeliner Black ($3.99), Blackheart Beauty Hot Pink Lip Pencil ($3), City Color Matte Lipstick Ultra Pink ($1.99), Red Cherry Lashes ($1.99)
Total: $60.95
That's a savings of over $250+. Pretty eye-opening! At the same time it shows you can do the same makeup at a fraction of the cost. There are a few things I'd have a hard time giving up. My Anastasia Brow Pencil is the perfect shade, and how could we ever live with out the Urban Decay Naked Palette trifecta? Drugstore Mascara's and Red Cherry Lashes are already inexpensive and I'd choose them over higher end's any day.
Same goes for this lipstick. City Color's $1.99 Ultra Pink Matte is pretty dang close to MAC Pink Pigeon. It feels weightless on the lips, non-drying, and has excellent color pay-off. I kind of want them all, but that sort of defeats the purpose of saving money on makeup right? Except I have a discount code below! So maybe just 3 or 10 :)

If you'd like to pick up this Lipstick or any of City Color's other budget friendly products,
(A few of my favorites so far are the BB cream, Shadow Pencil's, Blush Palette, & Matte Lipstick's)
is offering my readers a 15% OFF DISCOUNT

FOTD: Lip Color for the Eyes? OxBlood Lashes

At the Donna Karan New York Spring 2013 runway show, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury crafted an “unexpected, and a little twisted” pink eye look. I'm attracted to "ugly makeup" and this was so unsightly I had to put to test a real world version of it. Having been described as conjunctivitis and zombie apocolypse who wouldn't want to try it?
To re-create the exact runway makeup: MAC lip liner in Magenta was used to trace over the upper and lower lashline. Instead of mascara, lashes were painted pink with MAC Pro Chromaline in Process Magenta.
To make it slightly more "wearable" than the pink, I created my own Oxblood Mascara by painting my lashes with MAC Flammable Paint over Physicians Formula Hazel Mascara. If you want to invest in an actual burgundy mascara Yves Saint Laurent Luxurious Mascara # 05 Burgundy is a fine choice. I have yet to try the Rouge Bunny Rouge line, but the Dramatic Lash Mascara in Oxblood Panache looks very nice as well. The rest of the makeup was done using the balm Jovi Rockstar Face Palette.
One picture too many. Don't think I'll be wearing this one out anytime soon! I just look like I need a course of antibiotics. I do think the shade would look a million times better on those with darker hair..oooh or red hair! you would be cute not contagious :)
It does amplify eye color so it's not a total fail I guess? Worn lightly or over black this would give a subtle color boost to blue and green eyes. Still...Pink Eye is a Spring Trend I'll be skipping this season!

FOTDS: Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick Neon Red, Shocking Coral, & Vivid Rose

MORE Lipstick...someone get me an intervention. Now that colorful eyeshadow is off my radar it's been replaced with a strong lip color addiction :) I can't resist a daring lip and certainly not one that's drugstore cheap. Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids are straight up amazzzing. Saturated in color, creamy, long wearing, comfortable on the lips, all those wonderful things we desire in a lipstick.
I wanted to buy them all but settled on: Neon Red, Shocking Coral, and Vivid Rose. I wore all three shades over the weekend with Urban Decay's Naked 2 Palette on the eyes.

Neon Red
Don't let the neon part scare you, this isn't uv rave neon, just a ultra bright glossy red with a hint of orange.
Shocking Coral
I couldn't get this shade to photograph true to color whatsoever. It's a vibrant pinky coral, but deeper and more pink than it appears on me. The kind of color I want to be wearing when I'm 80, it's definitely rockin Grandma :) (sweater courtesy of:
Vivid Rose
Vivid Rose delighted me the most out of the bunch because it's unlike anything else I have in my collection. Not quite hot pink or red but a perfect marriage of the two. This rosy fuschia lends itself very well to modern pin up looks or as I wore it for a glammed up night out. The name is just pretty too :)

Along with the Milani Color Statement Lipstick's these are some of the best bright's you can find at the drugstore, they rival any high end brand's.The drugstore lines are killing it lately!
