FOTD - Dior Haute Couture FW06
I've been in love with this Dior look for awhile...a real while, it's from Dior's Haute Couture 2006 show, I wasn't even doing makeup then. Half way through this I thought "This looks like #$%@!.. I can't do this!..bitch you're not Pat McGrath!"...but I kept going... and I must say it's become one of my favorite look's I've ever done (on myself), probably because it looks nothing like me. I guess that's my little tip for the day, if you think it looks like crap half way through you're on the right track :) I switched it up a bit making the skin whiter to contrast the black, the flash also heightened that, and I just used what rhinestone/glitter materials I had on hand. I really like how it turned out, and I don't say that often!

Review: Liptini Lip Liquer Lip & Cheek Stain
Liptini Lip Liqueur Lip & Cheek Stains are sheer, blendable stains for lips and cheeks that give long-wearing, natural color. I'd been unimpressed with lip stain's in the past until I tried these. They're true to the name, not a gloss or lipstick. It's nice to be able to go out rocking a bold lip and not have to worry about your lipstick fading, ending up on the drink glass, or all over your boy's face at the end of the night!
My favorite shade for Fall is Almondberry (pictured above), a cool mulberry purple wine & Maraschino, a bright cherry red. The only con's I've come across with these is they do leave a bit of a ring around the lipline after they wear off. It's really a minimal flaw though in comparison to the gorgeous colors & bulletproof staying power. They run on the dark side, so these might not be for those looking for that pretty lightly stained girlie pout. These are for adults, they even have cocktail recipe's to go along with your shade on the website.
For my FOTD I channeled Proenza Schoueler A/W 2010: “The look is early 90’s grunge – fresh, moisturized face and a statement lip” – Diane Kendall.

FOTD- Glossy GrungeTarred Eyes
Glossy eyes always look so perfect in magazines, but the truth? They crease like a b*tch in the blink of an eye...literally. I used OCC lip tar on my eyes. NOT recommended, it contains peppermint oil which will irritate most eyes, but I have a tendency to break the rules on my own face. It gave an oil slicked look that actually didn't crease as noticeably, but again go with a clear gloss over a black base for safety & the same effect.
To minimize the focus of the "crease line", I used a mini fan brush (MUD #500) to feather out the edges & create further texture. A controlled mess if you will.
