Orlando Pita Hair Care Play Collection Review

Whether you are looking for extra volume, polished hair, or enhanced color, the Orlando Pita Play Collection has a product to achieve any hair goal. Taking better care of my hair and trying to become better at styling is a constant "goal" of mine. The latter I likely never will accomplish, but having fine, color treated hair I need all the help I can get in keeping my hair healthy and styled. I have added some products from the Orlando Pita Play haircare line in to my daily hair do' regimen and here is how I am getting along with them!

Orlando Pita Play Atmos-Shield Hair Protectant Treatment
Atmos-Shield® is a 10-in-1 thermal heat protection spray that provides an invisible weightless barrier to help combat damage caused by heat, UV rays, humidity, pollution and free radicals. Featuring an exclusive Multi-Phasic Shielding Complex® this formula helps protect hair, seal split ends and lock in moisture for touchable, softer and smoother looking hair.

I use a heat protectant every time I wash my hair because I always heat style. This one is really nice and it smells good! It protects against heat up to 450 degrees while also providing extra benefits. Reducing hair frizz, protecting color, healing split ends, and enhancing manageability for smooth and soft hair. My hair feels great when I use this and I feel good that I am protecting my hair from environmental damage.

Orlando Pita Play Body Breakthrough ($34)
Orlando Pita Play Body Breakthrough Volume Boosting Hairspray delivers increased texture and fullness to even fine, limp hair. Lightweight plumping technology doesn't weigh down hair or leave strands feeling dry, crunchy or sticky. This hairspray gives my fine hair the oomph I'm looking for while setting any style. My only complaint is that it is a bit heavy on the floral musk fragrance.

Orlando Pita Play Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze($28)
Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze refreshes color with temporary copper pigments that intensifies and enhances red and copper tones. The sheer, illuminating finish highlight hair and adds subtle dimension with no crunchy feel or residue.

I shared how Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze is my must-have blonde hair finshing spray. Check it out HERE!

Orlando Pita Play Former Glory Protein Treatment Spray ($14)
Former Glory Protein Treatment Spray helps restore health to damaged hair. Featuring a blend of Proteins and Amino Acids to restore and fortify hair, this product resists the effects of damage caused by heat and over styling. Vital nutrients revive hair back to optimal visual health. Developed for chemically or color treated hair. Restores dry, damaged areas; Prevents damage; Adds immediate strength.

Formulated with Orlando Pita Play's exclusive Fortifinity Complex for restored health and brilliant shine. Orlando Pita Play exclusive Fortifinity Complex works to combat the 4 most common types of damage: chemical, thermal, mechanical and environmental. My hair feels stronger, thicker, and healthier since I started using Former Glory. My hairdresser said to always balance Protein with Moisture, so I use this spray in the shower 1-2x a week and a deep conditioner the day after. If you have color-treated hair prone to breakage this is a miracle worker!

I am loving the PLAY line, it has made my hair feel more healthy and strong. If you're looking to achieve your hair goals this Spring & Summer give Orlando Pita Play a whirl! Try and catch a sale at ULTA, they are always having them!  #OPHAIRGOAL #orlandopitaplay

SunIn Natural Hair Highlights and My Blonde Hair Care Favs!

This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own

This weekend unofficially kicks off Summer and I couldn't be more ready for it! I like to take a low-key approach to my beauty routine during the warmer months but my hair is one part of that routine that can not be neglected. Having fine, thin, color-treated blonde hair my locks need TLC no matter what the season. This is also the time I like to lighten my blonde up to a I spent all day sipping mai tai's on the beach sun kissed look with SunIn Natural Hair Highlights. Here are a few of my favorite hair products for keeping my hair lighter, brighter and healthy all Summer long!

John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo
This shampoo from John Frieda is excellent for bringing out both natural and color treated highlights. It gradually deposits yellow tones for blonder-looking hues and is mild enough for daily use. If you're blonde don't be afraid of adding more warmth! It can really add a beautiful, natural, sun kissed look to your blonde that looks incredibly natural.

SunIn Hair Lightener Spray
SunIn has been around since the 70's - so, they must be doing something right! Sunshine for your hair? Sort of. It's heat activated, not just SUN-activated. So, you can lighten up your locks with a hair dryer. What's great is that it can be used ALL YEAR LONG. I used SunIn to brighten up during the Fall and shared how it worked for me then HERE. Now that I am craving a sun kissed Summer blonde I am reaching for it once again!

SunIn gives you the same natural highlights you get from the sun - only faster! SunIn’s advanced conditioning system includes botanical extracts and special illuminators that give hair an extra dose of shine. It is also alcohol-free and for both blondes and brunettes. The pleasantly light tropical breeze scent smells like you're on a Hawaiian island!

Getting your hair professionally lightened can get expensive and be damaging. Sun-In conditions while it lightens. I really appreciate this having fine hair that gets damaged easily. My hair feels soft, and healthy after using this. The convenience of being able to spritz this on my hair, go out for the day, and come back with pretty sunkissed highlights is awesome! No sitting in a salon for 4 hours!

It's so simple and easy to use! Spray SunIn on damp hair. Comb through to evenly distribute. For a sun-streaked look, spray only the strands you want highlighted. Bring out the results with a hairdryer or spend the day out enjoying the Summer sun.

I spritz SunIn on to the ends of my hair to create a brighter, uniform golden blonde. You can find SunIn at your local Walmart or online for under $5! Such a steal for beautiful, sun streaked naturally highlighted hair.

Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum Cool Blondes Treatment
This color-depositing, blonde conditioner helps preserve tone and neutralize brassiness for radiant cool blondes. After you have added some natural highlights with SunIn reach for this. It tones that blonde further in to cool-toned territory while deep-conditioning your hair. Perfect 4 Platinum's breakthrough strengthening technology with protein-rich keravis-nature's most powerful anti-breakage hair fortifier-provides internal and external strengthening. Chamomile, lemon and coriander extracts soften, clarify to increase brightness, and nourish to magnify shine. I love using this treatment to refresh my color once a month!

Malibu Blondes Wellness Remedy
These little packets are saviors if your hair has gone brassy from hard-water or product buildup. They instantly transform natural, highlighted, and bleached blondes from dull to dazzling. The treatment removes anything that might be dulling your true blonde brilliance to reveal dazzling shiny hair. I use one of these packets every few weeks to banish brass and add some bounce back to my hair.

Orlando Pita Play Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze
Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze refreshes color with temporary copper pigments that intensifies and enhances red and copper tones. The sheer, illuminating finish highlights hair and adds subtle dimension.  Orlando Pita Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze is available in four different shades: Golden Blonde, Copper, Brunette, & Chestnut. No matter your hair color you can give your shade a amplified color boost!

Being able to enhance your color and add dimension with out having to color it is fantastic. Especially in the Summer when hair is susceptible extra damage from UV rays and salt water. On my medium light blonde hair the Golden Blonde shade of Recast Tinted Oil Spray Glaze adds a pretty golden blonde tint with lovely shine and radiance. Recast behaves like a texturizing spray with out leaving any obvious residue or crunchy texture behind. I love using this as my finishing spray!

OLAPLEX Hair Perfector No. 3
I was introduced to OLAPLEX by my stylist who had been using the two-step process in my color service.  Now I use the Step 3 at home to keep my hair strong and healthy. The concentrated treatment strengthens the hair from within, reducing breakage and improving its look and feel. As a blonde breakage is almost inevitable, but OLAPLEX strengthens and repairs the hair from within. It's not just a mask for damage, it truly fixes it. Every two weeks I put this on my hair for about an hour and I have seen less breakage and improvement in my hair strength overall. If you have color-treated or lightened hair it is a must-have for maintaining the health of your blonde hair!

What hair products are you loving for Summer? Will you be lightening up?  Let me know!

Urban Decay BEACHED Collection Review & Swatches

It feels like we have just entered Spring here, but Urban Decay is prepping us for Summer vacay with their limited-edition Ulta Exclusive BEACHED Collection for Summer 2018. I didn't think it could get any better after the awesome Spring releases they gave us, but I am WOW'ed by this collection! I am a land-mermaid at heart and this collection captures the laid back beachy aesthetic on all levels! From the sea-foam packaging with palm trees to the sunny bronzer and duo-chrome metallic lip colors Beached will take you to your personal paradise. Lets take a dip in the ocean!

BEACHED Eyeshadow Palette ($34)
I am just going to dive straight in to the best part of this collection, the Beached Eyeshadow Palette. Loaded with eight brand-new shades, from warm coppers to deep pops of turquoise, Urban Decay's Beached Eyeshadow Palette invokes the one-of-a-kind, magical feeling of a hot summer night.

Covered in palm trees inspired by the landscape of warm SoCal beaches, the limited-edition Beached Eyeshadow Palette warrants a permanent vacation. These shades scream summer and the long-lasting formulas won't budge, even when you're spending the season's hottest days under the sun. Channel your inner golden goddess and keep the summer vibes going all year long.

Made from UD's mind-blowing formula that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color and blendability, each shade holds tightly onto pigment and stays put. Create a warm smoky eye with 16th St., a metallic golden bronze, and Wedge, a deep copper. For a playful look inspired by the ocean waves, blend Double Dip and Plunge for a turquoise gradient effect.

Shades (swatched over NO Primer):
  • Salt (ivory satin)
  • Heatwave (metallic rust)
  • 16th St. (metallic bronze-gold)
  • Plunge (deep metallic blue-green)
  • Blaze (light metallic peach with pink shift)
  • Daybreak (deep reddish terra-cotta matte)
  • Double Dip (bright metallic teal)
  • Wedge (deep metallic brown-copper)

Beached Eyeshadow Palette is a MUST GET. This has to be my favorite eyeshadow palette to come out from UD this year. The packaging is a lot like Backtalk, but doesn't include the bulky weird mirror. It's sleek and light. The eye shadow's in here are seriously great quality. Velvety, pigmented, and apply so smoothly. What really sold me on this palette is the color palette. The colors are nothing short of ordinary, not even the neutrals! They have gorgeous metallic finishes that shine like light bouncing off waves. Blaze looks like an ordinary golden taupe, but it is not at all. It has a illuminating pinky peach shift to it. One of my favorite eye combinations is neutrals combined with teal and Beached perfects that oceanic look with the additions of Double Dip and Plunge. I just love everything about this palette!

BEACHED Bronzer Bronzed & Sunkissed ($30)
Nail the golden goddess look every time with Beached Bronzer from Urban Decay. Dust this silky powder on your face or all over your whole bod - and look like you spent a week hanging out on the sunny beaches of Fiji. How pretty is the tropical artwork on the packaging? This is just meant for Summer travel!

Urban Decay's finely milled, super-soft formula applies smoothly, doesn't streak, and creates a radiant glow that won't quit. Get Beached (not burned); these universally flattering matte shades provide sheer, natural-looking coverage every time.

If you swore off powder bronzers because they always felt dry and applied unevenly, you'll be blown away by how different Beached Bronzer is. Finely milling the powder gives it an ultra creamy texture that feels amazing on your skin (and it's easy to apply). HPP (Highlighter Performing Pigments) Technology provides rich color, long-lasting elements and the perfect level of coverage.

I have said it many times. I am not a bronzer girl. On my pale skin they always look dirty, or orangey. Not these bronzers. They are so finely milled that the blend effortlessly in to the skin. Sunkissed has a bit more pink tone to it and is lighter. While Bronzed is more of a traditional cocoa bronzer with yellow undertone. I actually liked Bronzed more for a bronzer. It has a really clean 'real life' tan look to it. While Sunkissed makes an awesome contour and natural nude blush shade. Beached bronzer warms up my skin with out the obvious I'm wearing bronzer look and they never look patchy. I think I might even like it more than Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and HOOLA. So subtle and naturally sunkissed!

BEACHED 24/7 Eyeliner Lucky & Goldmine ($20)
Inspired by the landscape of warm SoCal beaches, Urban Decay's limited-edition Beached 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils warrant a permanent vacation. These shades scream summer and the long-lasting formula won't budge, even when you're spending the season's hottest days under the sun. Channel your inner golden goddess and keep the summer vibes going all year long.

Go from the boat to the beach bonfire with UD's 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Goldmine, a gold shimmer with gold micro-sparkle, and Lucky, a metallic burnt orange shade (from UD's original lineup). These are the best pencil eyeliners in the game in my opinion. They will never fail you, staying creamy to blend and dryin down to a waterproof finish. Lucky and Goldmine look like a sunset on the eyes!

BEACHED Vice Lipstick ($18)
Covered in palm trees inspired by the landscape of warm SoCal beaches, Urban Decay's limited-edition Beached Vice Lipsticks warrant a permanent vacation. These shades scream summer and the long-lasting formulas won't budge, even when you're spending the season's hottest days under the sun. Channel your inner golden goddess and keep the summer vibes going all year long.

Just one swipe of UD's brand-new Vice Lipstick shades provides long-lasting, crazy-pigmented color that won't slide off in the summer heat. This cult-favorite formula provides super-creamy texture, rich payout and superior color dispersion. I am obsessed with the palm tree print packaging!

Try Heatwave, a metallic rust, or Tower 1, a shifty metallic peach named after UD's local lifeguard tower. For a shade that looks perfect poolside, opt for 100 Degrees, a bright coral-pink. These three shades are FIRE. They are so unique and emollient. I am always on the hunt for a poppin coral-red and 100 degrees is IT. Wow! It looks so stunning! I also appreciate the unique metallics of Tower 1 and Heatwave. I do wish they would have given us a pretty coral in here too, but I can't be mad at how cool these shades are. I love VICE lipsticks as I have said many many times over.

Wow! The Beached Collection has me dreaming of an early Summer or tropical getaway! It is all SO dang GOOD. You will want to grab everything in this collection. There's also currently a free gift with purchase going on at Ulta until 5/13 for a a Free deluxe All Nighter Spray or Trouble Maker Mascara with $40 purchase!

Spring Beauty Favorites featuring Herpecin

This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own.

Now that we are well in to Spring and it is finally starting to feel that way I have compiled a few of my beauty favorites thus far. Spring is always the time I clean up and refresh my beauty routine. It is still a bit on the chilly side here so I like to keep in a few Winter staples (like my Herpecin Lip Balm!) while brightening it up with pops of color in my makeup. Here are my current favorite beauty products for Spring!

Highlighter game goes strong in Spring. I just love pretty, fresh, glowy skin. I like to combine both liquid and powder highlights depending on how glowy I want to get. Liquid's are more subtle and you can add a little bit in to your foundation. While powders give you full on strobe power.

Tarte Pro Glow in Stunner is a subtle soft champagne that you can use anywhere. I love mixing this in with my foundation for a dewy look. For serious wattage I use FENTY Killawatt to up the amp on my highlight. Adding shine on the tops of cheekbones, nose, cupids bow and inner eye corners. FENTY Beauty Killawatt Highlighter duo in Fire Crystal. is seriously like crystal's on fiyah. So pretty!

Herpecin-L Lip Balm got me through Winter with out any chapped lips or cold sores. I love this stuff! It's perfect for that in between time in weather when we want to keep our lips hydrated but also protected from the sun. Herpecin relieves dry, chapped lips, helps prevent sunburn on lips, and helps treat and relieve cold sores/fever blisters.

Herpecin is safe to use every day to help relieve and protect painful cracking of lips and promotes healing without numbing or drying. It is uniquely formulated with dimethicone for protection, and sunscreens to help guard against the sun's harmful rays.

Cold Sores can happen anytime of year, not just the Winter months. Sun exposure is one of the main culprits in getting a break out. There IS something you can do to help treat and relieve your cold sores. Herpecin L is a unique, pharmacist-recommended* product for the treatment, protection, and relief of cold sores, sun and fever blisters. This lip balm is fantastic! It is more hydrating than other lip balms. Herpecin gives me the moisture I need along with added SPF protection. The smooth, almost undetectable formula wears really well under lipsticks too.

An all-in-one blush palette like the SIN Afterglow Highlighter Palette from Urban Decay makes my list because it covers all your bases. This six-pan palette contains three shades of highlighter and three pretty Spring blushes. I love cocktailing the two blushes together and popping SIN Afterglow Highlight on to my cheekbones, cupids bow, and inner corners. PSA and Paranoid make awesome eyeshadows too. I pop Paranoid in to the crease and PSA on to the lids for a warm bronzey eye look.

Bring on the May flowers. Floral is my jam in Spring and that includes skincare. Winter is still peeking its head in around here with lows still dipping in to the 40's overnight. That means my skin is still acting a bit dry. FRESH Rose Deep Hydration Toner & Face Cream are remedying dryness while enveloping your senses in the most glorious scent of fresh roses.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner is a cleansing toner that removes impurities and refines the appearance of pores for a deeply hydrated, healthy-looking, velvety soft complexion. There's even rose petals inside the bottle! Not only is it a fantastic toner, but also pretty to look at. I like adding this toner in my nightly skincare routine and using it as a refresher throughout the day.

Fresh Rose Face Cream is a lightweight gel-cream infused with soothing rosewater and nourishing rose flower oil that delivers intense moisture for petal-soft skin. Time-release hydropatches, angelica leaf extract, and an advanced combination of hyaluronic acids form a protective moisturizing veil to help attract and seal in moisture for a full 24 hours of intense hydration. This luxurious cream has the lightweight feel we seek during the Spring with the intense hydration my skin still craves as it recovers from Winter. It really is the perfect transitional moisturizer. My skin feels so soft, hydrated, and it smells absolutely beautiful.

A liquid metallic eyeshadow makes the eyes look so fresh and awake. I love the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow's. One swipe of color gives a beautiful glowy or glittery lid. It looks so understated and minimal while packing a a bright eyed punch. My everyday shade is Kitten, a soft glowy champagne pink. Rose Gold Jezebel looks like molten metal it is stunning.

Last but not least is lip color. This metallic liquid lipstick from Pretty Vulgar in shade My Lips Are Sealed is one I reach for almost every day. The liquid lip color is the prettiest mid-tone pink with a metallic champagne finish. I love this on its own and popping it on the center of the lip over pink and coral lip colors. The metallic finish feels so fresh compared to all of the matte liquid lipsticks of Winter.

Do you take an special precautions to protect your lips in the Spring/Summer? Would you add Herpecin-L to your lip care routine? I would love to know!
