Getting healthy graces the top of many resolution lists this time of year. I'm getting prepared for the New Year by focusing on health as a whole, including my beauty regimen. Keeping our hair, skin, and nails healthy is just as important as hitting the gym. Taking a natural approach is an excellent way to boost your beauty from within. Today I am sharing a few supplements I have incorporated into my daily life for shinier strands and stronger nails.

Fish Oil
Fish Oil This supplement is primarily used to help support a healthy heart.*. but it is also used for a variety of other things. Nature's Truth Fish Oil comes with a lemon flavor to avoid bad taste/breath. No fishy taste! Taking supplements makes me feel great and on track with a healthier lifestyle. Omega-3's fatty acids are nourishing to the body, benefiting stronger and shinier hair.* When I take fish oil daily it also reminds me to drink 8 glasses of water. Staying hydrated further contributes to moisturized skin from within.
Collagen
Hydrolyzed Collagen Type I & III with Vitamin C provides nutritional support for healthy skin, hair, nails, bones and joints.* Collagen I & III are the primary collagen types found in connective tissue. Vitamin C helps initiate the production of collagen, an essential structural protein within the body.*
Collagen helps promote skin elasticity, helps maintain strong hair and nails, and nourishes ligaments, tendons and bones to help support joint health.*

Dry hair and brittle nails are issues I have dealt with for years. In the Winter months, those problems are exacerbated even more. By focusing on my hair health I am hoping to improve the way I feel about the appearance of my fine hair. Instead of dry ends and breakage I am looking forward to adding luster to my locks. My nails have always been weak, brittle, and cracked easily. Getting my nails strong and manicure ready is at the top of my beauty resolution list.

Melatonin
Melatonin is a hormone in our bodies that helps to regulate sleep cycles.* When our levels are low, sleep can be broken and restless. Taken as a supplement, Melatonin can help with occasional sleeplessness.* One essential part to good health that is often overlooked is getting enough sleep. With daily stresses and responsibilities, work, technology etc. it can be difficult to turn off the noise at the end of the day. A good night's sleep can make all the difference in how we handle those situations, not to mention waking up feeling refreshed and looking our best. Bye Bye under eye bags!

Turmeric is a spice commonly used in curries; it is also a natural tonic that can be used to support the immune system.* It contains natural compounds known as curcuminoids which have strong antioxidant properties.*

I picked up my Nature's Truth Supplements at Rite Aid in the Vitamin & Supplement aisles. Nature's Truth products are also available at other retailers such as Walgreens, Amazon, and Target.com.
