Lightened Up Colourpop for Summer

Most of my purchases from Colourpop have been in Fall/Winter shade realm so for Summer I picked up bronzey gold shades of supershock eyeshadows since they are amazing. With one blush to try and a lippie stick and pencil from the best sellers list. I placed an order for the new Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick when they came back in stock so I will have a review of those up soon :)

Keep Reading for the Summer of Colourpop Review!

Nillionaire - You’ll be looking rich in this warm bronze with tons of gold and multi coloured glitter in a Metallic finish. Nillionaire is a Summer nights shade made for an amped up warm bronzey eye. It is crazzzy metallic and shimmering on the eyes.

La La - Fa la la la la – la la – ka ching: a true rose gold in an Ultra Metallic Finish. This is the most authentic rose gold shadow I have. Just a true super metallic true rose gold so so beautiful.

Plunge - Take the plunge with this light warm beige with a golden sheen in a Pearlized finish. I bought this shade to swipe on for going out for drinks after a day at the beach. It reminded me of sparkling gold sand. This shade is my favorite of the bunch, I have been wearing Plunge as a standalone lid color almost every day this Summer. It brightens up the eyes with an amazing golden sheen.

So Quiche - A soft olive with a highly reflective gold and pink violet glittery duo chrome metallic finish…there are no words in the dictionary to describe this. Not even urbandictionary.com.  Aka: this shade is hotter than hot – the F**king Queen of shadows. For being such a complicated shade it is crazy easy to wear. Duo-chromes are always so special on the eyes.

Pre-Nup Blush - Always be prepared with a prenup – a mid-tone plum pink in a satin finish. I was a little concerned that the blushes might be pink eye shadows trying to pass as blushes but that was not the case. The texture is less creamy and more powder like. Even though it looks dark in the pan, Pre-Nup is that wear with every thing shade of neutral pink that looks especially perfect on cool tones. The slightly satiny finish gives off a subtle glow. Only problem I have had is figuring out how to apply these. They don't pick up very well on a brush. Fingers might be the way to go. Love! Won't be my last Colourpop Blush.

Frida Lippie Stick - A warm mid tone nude pink with a satin finish. Even though I like the pencils more the Frida lip pencil looked slightly too brown. The satin finish lippie pencils glide on much easier than the mattes I have. They have excellent pigmentation and a light feeling on the lips.

Color wise this is a run of the mill warm medium pink. One of those necessary subdued day appropriate colors that are easy to throw on and not look too made up. I would have loved Frida had it not been for this weird chemical vanilla taste/scent. None of my previous Lippie Stix had this scent so I am wondering if it is a new thing or it differs my finish? The foul taste kills it and I know I'll never wear it. Such a shame because Frida is a pretty color.

Lumiere Lip Pencil - After my first lippie stick and pencil order I realized they are basically the exact same colors. I liked the lip pencils better because the gel texture glides on smoothly with the ability to define and fill in the lips all in one. Lumiere is what I was hoping for color wise, a dusty mauve pink that doesn't lean brown like many mauvey colors do. This one is not like my other lippie pencils and is SUPER drying when worn as a lip color. I ended up having to buy Lumiere Lippie Stick anyways. Which is great, not as drying and doesn't have as of a intense chemical vanilla taste as Frida. Lumiere is still is awesome as a lip pencil and complimentary to medium nude pinks.

Once again Colorpop kills it. Awesome all Seasons.
