Colourpop Eyeshadow Review & Swatches after the cut
Right off the bat I was impressed with the care that was put in to just the shipping packaging. The fully padded inside protects the fragile contents and even the box is logo'd up.
The fitted box with individual eyeshadow slots was such a special touch. I'm not sure if these boxes are only for PR or for orders of multiples.
I had one single eyeshadow and it was packaged in an individual cardboard box.

Super Shock eyeshadow's come in .07 oz.white clear top individual screw top pots with a holographic logo on top and the eyeshadow names imprinted on the bottom.
Formula wise these are a surprise to do dip in to, soft to the touch and creamy like a mousse. They apply like a light-weight cream shadow and set to a powder finish. The best coverage is achieved with just a swipe of your finger or flat top brush, which is the recommended way to apply them. I wore these for a several hours during the day and they didn't crease in that time period. The formula is featherlight and locks down similar to Benefit's cream shadow's so you could even do without a primer under them.
Fringe - Shimmering champagne with gold and silver glitter.
On The Rocks - Vibrant true bronze with gold and violet glitter.
Liberty - Intense ultra-metallic true silver.
I heart this - Cool toned silvery taupe with multi-coloured glitter
Sour - Light neon lime with satin finish
Deck - Enigmatic metallic gunmetal with lots of silver glitter and flips of pink and violet sparkle.
With the exception of Sour and Liberty all of the first shade set had glitter and boy are they GLITTERY. The cream formula is great for nixing any fall out, but you'll really have to like a lot of sparkle. For me the glitteryness was just too much, but this was my fault for not paying attention and choosing glitter finishes when I don't like glitter...dork! I did ooooh and ahh at the shade I <3 this though, a shimmering champagne taupe that really twinkles up the eyes. A little of this across the lids with some black liner...lookin sooo dang pretty.
Somehow I received a second set by a mix up and these I ended up liking even more. The metallic and satin finishes are much more wearable than the glitters.
Girly - Creamy vanilla with a flash of pink and gold duo chrome finish.
Smash - Neutral medium warm beige with a soft golden satin finish.
Sunnies - Juicy vibrant orange with a satin finish.
Truth - neutral light beige with a warm satin finish.
Get Lucky - Intense ultra- metallic, liquid- like true gold
Ibiza - Bright turquoise with a silver and gold duo chrome finish.
Girly is a gorgeous vanilla with pink gold duo chrome, the swatch doesn't do it justice, the duochrome flash looks simply beautiful on the eyes. The mettalic's were equally as gorgeous, Liberty is the perfect high shine true silver and Get Lucky a gilded bronze. There's something about these that remind me so much of MAC pigments, just with out the mess! Sour was the only real disappointment, it goes on light and chalky. The other two colors Sunnies and Ibiza were vibrant and pigmented. I really loved the metallic and satin
finishes, they've got a beautiful sheen with out the disco ball. It's really up to your own personal preference though. For being a new brand Colourpop has come out blazing, the shadows are beautifully packaged with a luxurious long lasting formula and gorgeous multi-tonal colors and finishes. Those who are fans of sparkling illuminated eyes will really enjoy these, Total effortless glam :) Will be doing some looks with these for sure!
