Review & FOTD: Anastasia She Wears it Well Eyeshadow Palette Fall 2012

New for Fall 2012 from Anastasia of Beverly Hills is the She Wears it Well Palette ($34). Classic Hollywood glamour with modern moxie. Nude meets knockout with these nine pigment-rich, matte and shimmer shadows that give your eyes enough sophisticated smolder to woo them. While it takes a cue from deco artistry, it's decidedly modern spin ensures that no matter where or when a girl is from, She Wears it Well.

Inspired by the sculpted opulence of 1930's classic Glamour, this sleek versatile palette is the perfect mix of soft nudes, sheer shimmer's, and smoldering dark's. Just like the Anastasia eyeshadow's I reviewed previously in the See & Be Seen kit these are the same soft, velvety, pigment rich crease proof formula's that can be worn both wet and dry. This palette is sure to give Urban Decay's Naked a run for it's...pants? It actually may even be better as it doesn't contain that annoying glitter that UD throws in to everything. Anastasia uses shimmer in such a sophisticated way and also gives us matte shades of transition colors. So many companies often forget how important those unassuming matte shades are. There's no filler in this palette. Every shade can be utilized for both day and evening looks.
Shades: Trophy, Glow, Latte, Foxy, Sunset, Frosting, Almond, Toffee, and Onyx.
Anastasia is stealing my heart again with its marketing creatives. Along with the palette came these adorable face chart cards. They have a lovely vintage drawing on one side and a coinciding palette look explained step by step on the other. The looks range from a classic matte cat eye to a night time speak easy ombre look. Unfortunately these are PR samples only and do not come with it.
I dabbled with the lighter shades in a summer coral fotd, so I tried this ombre eye for a night out. I really shouldn't have. This is not a flattering look on me, not feeling the dark inner corner and just not a smokey eye nude lip kind of girl in general. But if you are! The sultry foxy shade is exceptional for a traditional smokey eye and enhancing eye color. I just prefer the frosting on the cake :)
Rarely do I get a makeup photo in natural sun light..I'm actually not the color of a peach... just paper :)
