"Pop Art looks out into the world. It doesn't look like a painting of something, it looks like the thing itself." - Roy Lichtenstein
The bubble says it all.
You know when you get an idea in your head, and then when put to test it turns in to a disaster? Well that's this look! I attempted to create Lichtenstein's "Crying Girl", but the water based red product I used spread making the dots dry twice the size that I had applied them. Crushed. I literally was the Crying Girl. It works in a costumey "face paint" way, just not in the way I had envisioned it. If you do this, use a cream/wax based product or liner that won't spread or better yet airbrush. Inspiration:
