Urban Decay Liquid MOONDUST Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

Last review of 2016 and it's a fitting one for NYE! Can’t get enough of Moondust, planet Earth’s sparkliest shadow? Brace yourself, because now there’s a whole new way to satisfy your sparkle addiction. Introducing Urban Decay Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow, a super-versatile cream version of the innovative formula you know and love.

Like UD's pressed Moondust shadows, Liquid Moondust contains microfine bits of iridescent sparkle and lush 3-D metallics—for a gorgeous, diamond-like effect. Create subtler looks or layer and build the formula for more intense 3-D metallic effects. For all-over sparkle, lay the color down quickly and blend it out.

The space nerd in me loves this packaging. It almost glows when the light hits the holographic parts.

Whether you want to add just a hit of sparkle at the lash line or layer color over the lid, the slim, precise brush does it all. The tubes themselves are great. Sleek with a tiny brush applicator. For a liquid eyeshadow I would have liked these to be doe foot, but I do like the brush because they can double as an eyeliner too.

When I was swatching these it was so weird. Some went on so smooth with intense pigmentation, while others came out watery with uneven color and glitter. I tried shaking the tube, same result. They seem to be inconsistent depending on the shade you get. I had the best results with Spacetime, Zap, and Zodiac. However, after reading up more about them I discovered some are actually meant to be sheer and not full coverage so this isn't a blunder in the formula it's how they are supposed to be.

I really like the concept of the Liquid Moondusts. I despise getting glitter everywhere and I think they would work out brilliantly for those with sensitive eyes. Being past my days of wearing glitter eyeshadow these are a sophisticated way to wear sparkle with out it looking too garish or immature.

These glimmering shadows are a delightful way to dress up the eyes. I will be sporting a couple of these on my eyes tonight! Happy New Years!
