Glambot is a great way to try items that you might not want to put down the full amount of cash on or for finding limited edition items. If the "gently used" aspect causes hesitation, it shouldn't. As a Makeup Artist the same products are consistently worked with repeatedly, but with proper sanitation and hygiene there are no worries. All products at Glambot go through a 5-step authentication and sanitation process before you receive them. Just for my own peace of mind, I further sanitized.
This was the score of my Glambot haul. I had been eyeing the ever popular Anastasia dipbrow for some time now but had too many brow products to finish up to justify it. At $12 though? Yeah.
I'm glad I was able to try this at a discount because I actually ended up...not loving it! There was so much hype over Dipbrow, but I should of known with all the thick "instagram brows" it wouldn't be for me. I prefer a lightly filled in brow not the heavy handed angled highlighted too much work for some dang eyebrows brows that this is meant for. Dipbrow is a very heavy duty long lasting product and you can achieve a very sculpted or heavy brow with it if that's what you prefer. Just not my cup of tea. The Blonde shade is a nice dark blonde color match though. Too Faced Bulletproof brows is a much more natural and softer look for the brows. I normally love Anastasia brow products, but this is very dependent on your own taste in brows.
EDIT: After using this another two weeks I've changed my mind! It was all in the brush. Once I switched to the Paula Dorf Brow Brush, a thinner less dense brush than Anastasia's, I really loved this pomade. It gives a great shape and lasts all day long, will be great to have this Summer in the heat/humidity.
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Catfight $19.80
I've blogged about my love of Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick's in the past. Super smooth, pigmented, creamy, long lasting, gorgeous shades. Catfight is a pink fuchsia with red undertone. Not a shade I would have gravitated towards at full price. Buying it this way lets me feel less guilty about having a lip color I might not wear as often. One shade I'd never feel guilty about is F-BOMB, a to die for blood red and currently on Glambot HERE for only $14.65.
Stila Smudge Crayon Kitten $11.40
Kitten is an iconic color from Stila that looks beautiful on every pair of eyes. The smudge crayon is a gorgeous shimmering champagne with such a creamy texture that it glides across the eyes with ease. Lovely for glistening up the inner corners.
Laura Mercier Mini Cavier Stick Eye Colour Rosegold $10.80
I bought the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst recently which is a sultry smokey plum. The formula on these are excellent and I wanted to give another one a try in a softer shade. Rose Gold is a shimmering peachy gold that illuminates the eyes, amazing for Spring/Summer eye looks. These sticks are super long lasting and pigmented and apply so smoothly. At $28 they are a little high priced, being able to try a mini version for $10 is awesome. I've been wearing this on the lids almost daily, soo so pretty.
bareMinerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Elegant Taupe $16.20
Elegant Taupe is a grey toned brown or "greige" that can make your eyes look done in an instant. Swipe this cream shadow on for an effortless look or use it as a base for a smokey eye. Best of all it contains SPF so your eyes are protected while wearing it.
Glambot sends free samples with every order! I had wanted to try both of these products. Benefit Push Up Liner is quite possibly the worst mid-range makeup product I've ever used. The wand sucks, the liner sucks, and after all of that it is hard as heck to remove, I lost some lashes in the process. Thanks samples for saving me some money!
Very happy with my whole Glambot purchase. My total was under $60 with the discount. Two or so items at regular price would have amounted to that, and here we have 5. The items were all as described, actually most looked a lot more new than the said fill %. The shipping was relatively fast through USPS, took about week. Each item was carefully wrapped in protective bubble wrap and how rad is the Sci-Fi packaging? I did feel some of the prices weren't all that much less than regular so I would probably check here mostly for LE items or when they do flash sales.
A few products I just spotted in the new arrivals were the Balm Mia Moore Lipstick at $6.78 NEW, this is one of my favorite red lipsticks. Urban Decay's ever popular and no longer sold VICE Palette and tarte Lip Cream Pencil in Charmed for $9.07. Amazing deals!
The high end brand selection is excellent and new products are arriving daily. Items do sell quickly, especially limited edition, discontinued, or rare items. If you see something you like it is best to not wait. I had something on my wish list that was gone an hour after I saw it, so act fast! You can also sell your own makeup and get paid for it. Pretty cool.
