Nightly Winter Skincare Routine with LANEIGE

These moisture recharging skincare products from LANEIGE couldn't have arrived at a better time with the weather taking a turn to biting cold. I intended on just trying these out for review but after being so pleased by the Multi Cleanser, Bright Renew Night Cream, and the Water Sleeping Mask they've become a mainstay in my nightly Winter skincare routine. The BB Cushion though? It's more of a mainstay at the back of the makeup drawer.

LANEIGE Multi Cleanser ($22)
Multi-action cleanser and exfoliator infused with skin perfecting Papaya. This cleanser melts away makeup and sunscreen while lightly exfoliating. For all Skin Types.

This cleanser is super concentrated so you only need a tiny bit for your whole face. It feels creamy going on and foams up excellent with a light papaya scent. When you rinse it away all of your makeup is removed. I do sense this might be drying to dry skin because it is so cleansing. I like to use this cleanser just at night when I need to remove my makeup. Your skin feels completely clean, fresh, soft, and not tight.

The BB Cushion ($34) is a revolutionary 5-in-1 BB in a convenient compact. Go beyond your regular BB cream. Broad-spectrum SPF 50 blocks harmful UVA/UVB rays, while skin perfecting Optimal Mineral Water cools and hydrates upon application. Prevent shine and brighten skin by visibly reducing dark spots. Patented air cushion distributes just the right amount of BB cream. Apply whenever and wherever you want, with no buildup or bother. All day flawless skin is just 1 step away with BB Cushion.

BB cushion is packaged beautifully in it's own refillable compact. A light press to the cushion with the sponge gives you enough product to apply to your whole face. First problem is the shade range. There are only three shades. Light, which I have here, is not nearly light enough if you have an actual light complexion. It's more medium so you'll look a bit orange. Far worse though is that it settles in to your pores making them look like craters. It's super heavy mask-like but at the same time the coverage is inconsistent. The strong scent is also really overpowering. I think the only way you'll like this is if you desire full coverage foundation, use a primer, and want a portable high SPF product. For me it's a no, there's better high spf BB's out there.

Bright Renew Night Cream ($38)
An intensive evening hydrator and protector for luminous skin. Formulated with Brightening Renewal Complex, this luxuriously creamy moisturizer locks in moisture while actively reducing dark spots and unevenness. The result: visibly brightened, smoother-looking skin.

Bright Renew Night Cream was a recommended to me by Laneige's PR as a favorite and I'm glad it was. I've been using this as my night cream and am really happy with it. The cream is light, moisturizing, has a fresh scent, and absorbs fully without any greasy feel. Skin looks brightened, smooth, and moisturized in the morning. The brightening quality is what I liked the most about it, Winter skin can become dull and this turns the lights back on.

Water Sleeping Mask ($23)
Recharge dehydrated skin overnight. Highly concentrated, ionized mineral water and ceramides deliver intensive doses of moisture to stressed, parched skin. Aromatic Sleepscent -- orange flower, rose and sandalwood -- relaxes and rejuvenates while apricot and chestnut extracts brighten and purify fatigued skin. The result: skin looks and feels radiant, refreshed. Wake up to soft, glowing skin with Water Sleeping Mask.

The Water Sleeping Mask gets rave reviews and I can add another one to that list. There's a cooling relaxing feel when you apply it. It doesn't feel like you have something on your face all night long like a lot of Asian sleeping masks do. The light gel sinks in after a few minutes and in the morning your skin feels and looks like it's had 8 glasses of water. It's just that something extra for when your skin feels dehydrated and only a moisturizer won't do. This will be a great mask for Summer as well because of the cooling effect it has on fatigued skin. If you want to try the LANEIGE line I'd start with the Water Sleeping Mask, it's the perfect introduction to the water bank formula.
