Beauty & The Beach: Vacation Travel Favorites

The last days of Summer means one last Vacation. I will be heading to my home away from home the beautiful Hawaiian Islands. Travel packing is something I have yet to master. I am guilty of being a chronic over-packer especially with beauty items. This time around I am trying to take an only what I "need" approach along with a few items geared towards Travel. With the weather still pretty hot every where right now Summer Beauty is still going strong.

Keep Reading for My Beach Vacation Travel Favorites!

Nautical Tote from TOMTOP
This cute tote can double as a beach/grocery/makeup bag. I carry on all of my makeup because I am terribly worried about losing it...because Mercury F-ing Retrograde.
Scentbird Perfume Atomizer
The atomizers from the Scentbird Subscription are ideal for bringing along a favorite scent.

JGOB Makeup Blender Sponge
JGOB blending sponges are designed in Portland,OR (whatup neighbors!) and come in a ton of awesome colors. The neon green can't be missed.
The Makeup Eraser
This makeup removing cloth is awesome! I use remover wipes but it doesn't always remove some of the tough waterproof makeup. This cloth is super soft and won't irritate the eyes or face. It takes off every trace of makeup with just water and avoids getting makeup all over the hotels cloths.
Vera Mona Colour Switch Duo
Cleaning makeup brushes is not really feasible on vacation. Colorswitch is a sponge that allows you to remove shadow from brushes and switch colors. With this I am able to use many different shades easily and only have to take a few brushes along.

FREYRS Sunglasses
Look no further than FREYRS for trendy and unique sunglasses at affordable prices with super fast shipping. Every pair I have from them have been such amazing quality. I never take expensive things with me on vacation, the sea has gobbled up one too many pairs of my sunglasses. Freyrs has so many stylish pairs and at under $20 it's not a loss if they don't make it back with you.
TAZEKA Aromatherapy Travel Companion
Having had food poisoning or illness on vacation 3 out of 4 times I was coming prepared! Tazeka aromatherapy blends help balance the body and heal your spirit. Travel Companion has Ginger to help with motion sickness while also stimulating the immune system.

Sun Protection & After Care
COOLA has been my go-to for sun protection this year. COOLA Classic Face Sunscreen SPF 30 is unscented and sinks in to the skin with a non-greasy feel . COOLA Makeup Setting Spray SPF 30 gives added SPF 30 protection and sets your makeup for nights out. This setting spray is my favorite recent purchase. It transforms skin to completely matte for hours. Sometimes sunburns are inevitable but to make them more comfortable try COOLA ER+ Radical Revovery After-Sun Lotion. An ultra-moisturizing lotion that uses organic agave’s natural moisture-binding mechanisms to defend against environmental aggressors and calm sunburn. Finally, the lotion I could not travel to a hot climate with out is Maui Babe After Browning Lotion. This lightweight lotion leaves your skin silky soft and moisturized and turns a burn to a tan quickly. I thought Maui babe was an Island exclusive so I was so happy to find this at ULTA!

Sol Scents I picked up at Target. Sunscreen usually smells like well sunscreen. These come in delicious scents like raspberry dreams, cucumber mint, and pina colada. Broad spectrum SPF 15-50 and water-resistant up to 80 minutes they perform as a regular sunscreen but apply and smell like your favorite body lotion.

Pamper Yo Self
Even 2,500 miles away I still like to do my weekly Spa Night. Taking along a face mask, deep conditioner, and pedicure items for a girls night in will save a few hundred $ at the Spa. Both nugg face masks and FARMACY masks are individual use to avoid the mess. The UTILYZE Rechargeable Electronic Foot File is awesome because it requires zero batteries.  SOLE SERUM is a moisturizing serum for achy feet that feels so nice after a long day of walking in flip flops. Salt & Sun is dreadful on hair. Macadamia Professional Deep Repair Mask is my can't live without deep conditioner. The rich ingredients bring straw back to life. Add Vida Glow Marine Kelp Collagen packets to your water during the day to nourish that parched hair and skin from the inside.

One of Everything Makeup
My goal for makeup was to pack only one item in each category not ten eyeshadows and 3 mascaras. With the exception of lip products. In my makeup bag (F21 Sunset Clutch) is: Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue SPF30, Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, Laura Geller Baked Gelato Blush & Illuminator, LORAC Pro  Palette, Colourpop Supershocks, NARS Laguna Bronzer, Mirabella Brow PencilBetter Than Sex Mascara, Osmosis Liquid Eye Definer, and Anastasia Lash Genius for waterproofing it in place. Lip colors: Colourpop Donut, OFRA Hollywood, and Laura Geller Love me Dew Dragonfruit Sorbet.

Beachy Waves
Irresistable Me Sapphire 8-in1 Curler* has eight different interchangeable barrels for one iron. Instead of lugging around a hair tool for every style with a quick attachment change it lets you go from curls to beachy waves. The iron heats up super quickly and hair only needs to be held around the barrels for a few seconds to get polished curls and waves. It comes with a heat protecting glove and convenient carrying case for travel.
Sample Size & Buy it There
Shopping at SEPHORA and Ulta we tend to accumulate a lot of sample sizes. I save these up so I don't have to bother filling little bottles of hair products and skincare. If your destination has a drugstore or box store buy it there. Costco has Neutrogena 70+ SPF Sunscreen in a 3 pack for $15. Places CVS and Longs are great for picking up lotions, soap, body wash, tooth paste, razors, makeup remover wipes, nail polish, and shampoo & conditioner for when the samples run out.

That is my Beach Beauty Essentials....so far! I know a few more will sneak in when no ones looking :)
