SHOPLately Summer Edition Jewelry & Accessories

I've blogged about Shop Lately a few times with some sponsored reviews, this time I wanted to share just what I've bought there for myself lately. I absolutely love this site for accessory shopping, it's just about the only place I get my every day jewelry from any more. I signed up for their insider program, for $9 a year you get free shipping and access to insider sale events. It's a little disappointing you used to get this stuff for FREE, but considering how much I order from there it's worth it.

Also! When you sign up through my link here via facebook (its free!) you can get a $10 Credit to start shopping lately yourself :)
Here's my latest purchases!

Moon on Mars Handmade Kimono ($40)
I've been trying to get on board with the kimono trend, this sheer floral pattern one caught my eye. It's lightweight and silky on with a bold floral print. I bought this in a Medium and it's still huge. I don't think I'm made for this long flowy style of kimono's, I feel like I'm wearing a moo moo. Moon on Mars makes some incredibly beautiful ones though if you can pull this style off.
Black and White Fold-Over Clutch Purse ($35)
This Kristin Perry clutch was marked down from $35 to $5 on a sale event and I scored the last one!

It's faux leather and includes a gold chain to wear as a shoulder bag too. Quality wise this is great, it feels and looks much more expensive than the $5 I ended up paying for it that's for sure. Can't go wrong with Black & White. Such a steal!
Heart Wave ($6.99) & Heart Beat Necklaces ($19.99)
The Heart Wave Necklace from Aurora Kingdom is gold with a rhinestone heart wave. I love how unique of a design this is instead of your typical heart pendant to express Love.
I loved the design of this so much I bought a second version, it is a little different with the tiny heart on a full length beat. I wear one of these almost every day.

Amethyst Gem Stone Divine Drop Necklace from MOXLEY ($28) Amethyst Crystal Pendant ($11.95) from COB & PEN.

My bf turned me on to the exploration of crystals and the powers they possess. Amethyst is both of our birthstones and after reading more about it I knew I wanted to keep this gemstone close and a necklace is the perfect way to do it. The Cob & Pen Pendant is a whimsical crystal shard pendant in a beautiful shade of purple. It's that just right pendant length for wearing with about everything in the Summer. The Moxley one is shorter with a raw cut.

MOXLEY includes instructions for how to activate your crystal and also a description of what it means in your order.  Who knew they were good for hangovers! They carry a beautiful array of gemstone necklaces, the next one I plan on buying is the Tide Pools and Aura.
Amethyst crystals are one of the most sought after gemstones encouraging selflessness and spiritual wisdom. Opening multi-dimensional awareness, it enhances metaphysical abilities and is an excellent stone for meditation. This gemstone has a sobering effect on overindulgence and overcomes addictions. Beneficial to the mind, it calms or stimulates as appropriate, helping to feel more focused. It also enhances memory and improves motivation as well as balancing emotional highs and lows.

Too Much of  a Statement Necklaces
During my sale event with Lily Wang I grabbed The Crystal Throne Necklace ($28) It is a huge gold spiked & chained gemstone statement necklace. I feel like the Queen of England wearing this, I can't quite figure out how to work it? Feels so...overdressed? I also bought some chain link large gem ones that I have yet to wear...probably never will wear...too fancy for this punk rock girl :)
A little less regal is the Spike Glam Necklace ($16.50) and Rocker Delicate Spike Necklace ($7.99) from Glint & Gleam. The Spike Glam metal box chain necklace is more my kind of statement necklace, not such a statement. The Rocker Spike adds touch of spiky toughness in this otherwise delicate and lightweight pendant necklace.

Simple Pleasures Gold Midi Ring ($8)
Sweet little gold tone midi ring featuring an edgy spiked center, complete with shimmering clear rhinestones on either side. How cute is this tiny spike midi ring? It also doubles as a pinky ring.

Lily Wang Carnie Sparkly Pendant Long ($16)
A big sparkly crystal center outlined in gold, gem's and dangling spikes. I wish the gem was a little less huge, it feels like I'm wearing a piece that fell from my Chandelier. Not my favorite purchase.
Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream FLASH ($22)
Beauty For Real is a makeup brand I kept eyeing on ShopLately because I loved the simplicity in the packaging. I'll have a more in depth review and giveaway with this line soon but I had to share this lip cream, it's become one of my favorite lip products for Summer. The consistency is light, creamy, and the color is a boldly saturated medium pink. Even more cool...the tubes light up! Comes in handy in your purse on late nights! Yes, I've used this as my flashlight many times :)

Sooo that's what I've added to my accessory collection lately! If you want to pick up a piece or two yourself Sign up here with facebook to Get a FREE $10 Credit towards your next Shop Lately purchase. You can also follow me there to see what I'm diggin.

Planet Beauty California's Best-Loved Beauty Boutique

If you're in California you've probably heard of or stepped in to Planet Beauty, an upscale beauty retailer with over 30 stores in the state, or you can shop their online store at planetbeauty.com. PB stocks like alllll of my favorite brands so when they offered me the opportunity to shop for a couple items at their store I couldn't pass it up. I selected the two products that were at the top of my beauty wishlist right now, Redken Diamond Oil and the pressed version of Too Faced Primed & Poreless powder.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed Powder ($30)
Too Faced Primed & Poreless loose translucent powder is amazing, the silky soft texture sets makeup with out any powdery finish and blurs pores. Because the loose powder is some kind of flawless I wanted to get the pressed version to keep in my purse for touch ups on the go.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless pressed powder comes in a pretty pale pink snap case with mirror and powder puff. It's a light cream shade that when applied is translucent. Just like the loose this sets  makeup and nixes shine without any added coverage or being too matte. Makeup looks fresh, oil is controlled, and that added benefit of vanishing pores. It's a very natural looking sheer powder that gives a soft-focus invisible finish that never looks cakey. If you liked the loose version this one's just as nice.

REDKEN Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine ($43.95)
Redken Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine is a concentrated leave-in hair oil. This hair oil for normal and fine hair, strengthens & reinforces for smoother, shinier hair while protecting from breakage. Its hybrid oil technology combines polymers and natural hair oils, including coriander oil, apricot oils, and sunflower oil. Silicone-free with natural hair oils that penetrate each level of the hair fiber to nourish strengthen and reinforce strands from the inside out Hair is 3X* stronger with 2X more shine** Seals, coats and smoothes the cuticle to boost shine and protect hair from damage due to friction from brushing, styling, etc. Features a unique dropper for precise, no-waste dosage.

Isn't the cut glass bottle just gorgeous? It looks like it belongs on a perfume display...it does smell faintly of Patchouli :) After trying out numerous Argan and Morrocan oils and realizing they just aren't made for fine blonde hair this one sounded promising. It's for normal to fine hair, silicone free, and has a hybrid of natural oils.
The bottle has a dropper much like a skincare serum, this lets you use just the smallest amount which I prefer over the pump style that has a tendency to dispense too much oil unless you have long thick hair. I use two drops just on the ends of my hair. At that rate the 3.4 oz bottle will last forever.

Diamond oil is a girls best friend. It takes to my dry split ends and transforms them to silky and shiny, not oily or heavy. It also helps eliminate frizz when used as a pre-blowdry treatment. I've been battling some issues that have caused my hair to become very dry, I feel like this really is helping my hair get stronger and maintain better health with less breakage...or at least look better than it really is :)  If other popular oils have left your hair heavy and weighed down give diamond oil a whirl, it's light but effective. There's also an intense version for coarse hair in an even prettier black bottle.

This is just a tiny tiny sampling of what Planet Beauty has to offer. They have a HUGE selection! Over 20,000 makeup, skincare, haircare, styling tools, bath & body products, fragrance, nails, accessories...yeah HUGE.

Subscription Box Reviews: Wantable, Jewelmint, Olia, MeMe, BoxyCharm, Escape Monthly

For last month's subscription boxes I brought back my former favorite for makeup, Wantable. As well as tried out a few new beauty's.. Korean beauty box the MeMe Box #9 and BoxyCharm. For jewelry it was Jewelmint's VIP and Olia Box's turn. I also added my first nail-themed boxes SquareHue & Color Me Monthly and the destination-inspired box Escape Monthly.

I'm planning on a monthly subscription box wrap up post each month. I think it's easier to compare boxes that way, see how they measure up and which ones are worth subscribing to or not subscribing to :)

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette Review, Swatches, & Look

Too Faced recently updated and re-vamped their Natural Eyes Palette. The original was well loved in my neutral palette's collection and the re-release has just went and improved on what was already great while adding three new shades.

The bulky cardboard box packaging has been replaced with sleek slimmer metal casing. A+ there, that was one of my dislikes with TF's older palette's, they were thick and took up a lot of unnecessary space.
All 9 shadows are gorgeous neutrals separated in to Fashion, Classic, and Day look trio's. It's really a beautiful showing of neutrals, you get every shade you need for a classic neutral eye look.

The new color set as a whole is more cohesive, it's the kind of warmth even us cool tones can wear and the matte's and shimmers are divided about equally. Compared to the original I think this is worth buying again, the formula of the eyeshadow's has improved a lot. No longer are the matte's chalky and shimmer's gritty, every shade is silky and pigmented.

If you have any of Too Faced's recent neutral palette's like My Favorite Things or The Chocolate Bar Palette you'll likely find some similar shades in both of those, but if you don't this is another done right neutral palette that you'll be reaching for daily. Which is exactly what I've been doing.

It's not too special in photograph's but that's where the natural part comes in.  Natural Eyes is a must have for Summer. Pair it with one of the new Melted lipstick's and it's effortless not too "done" makeup, my favorite kind now that the weather's warmed up :)

I just realized like 90% of what's on my face is Too Faced. Yes, I am a Too Faced Whore.

REDKEN Blonde Idol Hair Product Line Review

In comes the new Redken Blonde Idol line (c/o) to help a girl out. So a couple months back I decided I wanted to ditch the bleachy blonde hair for something lower maintenance. After growing my roots out for about 4 months I got a bunch of lowlights thrown in and it was a natural looking blonde. A change. I didn't hate it.
Then the 15 year old hairdresser in me took over and thought it'd be a genius idea to bleach out my roots and get rid of the lowlights myself, a chemical reaction happened and my hair turned ELECTRIC FREAKIN ORANGE.  Not even overreacting...it was disastrous. Now you know why there's been no fotd's! It's become a lengthy and expensive process getting back to the cool toned light-medium ashy blonde I inevitably want. It took some cutting, more high-lowlights and I'm still nowhere near happy with it. I've been searching every single way to cut some of the remaining warmth and brass out...

REDKEN has developed a line of customized haircare much like skintone's in that you're either a "cool" or a "warm". Any one who's blonde or ombre'd knows...brass is the biggest pain in the ***! but Redken's got the fix.

SACHA Cosmetics Review, Swatches, & Discount Code

Attempting to get out of the inevitable makeup rut/cosmetic boredom I've been dabbling in less "mainstream" makeup lines recently, searching out some new products to stoke the fire again. I feel like I struck gold with SACHA Cosmetics. Founded in Trinidad, their vision was to develop the world’s first line of cosmetics that would look equally beautiful on women of different ancestry. Sacha makeup colors are exquisite and vibrant and stand up beautifully even on hot, humid days, and they're super affordable.

I received these products from Sacha to review. Seeing how vivid their makeup looked online I had high hopes...and they did not disappoint! There doesn't seem to be many reviews or swatches for this brand so I hope these will be of help :)

Because you WILL want everything, Sacha has kindly provided my readers a discount.
