FOTD- Jessie J Do it like a Dude

Digging deeper in to my love for mettalic's & out there lashes.. this one was based off Jessie J's video for the song "Do it like a Dude". This girl has become a fixture on my style watch, she's killing it with the makeup in all of her videos & appearances. This eye look would suit those of you with dark hair much better than it does me.

Fright Night Cleopatra lashes are only available in stores during Halloween, but you can get them at Madame Madeline year round. They're the same ones I used in my Xtina look. Illamasqua also makes a similar style. The Top Lashes are blue green Elise #064's that I tinted with black pigment.
Speaking of AMAZING Lashes. Gareth Pugh for MAC comes out today! I don't get too excited over collections anymore, but being such a huge fan of Gareth's this one was an exception. I had to have the Flight Lashes. I haven't seen something so interesting offered from MAC in ages. The makeup was a bummer though! The finishes and textures weren't at all what I was hoping for. More money in the bank for Black Friday though right?

Where to Shop: Patricia Field

Many of you have asked me where I like to shop for clothes, accessories, jewelry etc., and outside of the normal chain stores & Seattle & LA boutiques i love to shop online! I thought I'd start sharing some Style posts featuring my favorite stores to shop at. These aren't "sponsored" posts or any of that nonsense, I just like sharing where I like to pick up cool sh*t with you :)

If you've passed by the Patricia Field store in NY, you might think it's just for drag queens and strippers! Well it is. But it's also for you and me! If you're not lucky enough to get to shop the store, they carry a nice selection online as well. They stock the very affordable to designer pieces. From sweet mini dresses, to crazy head pieces by Keith Haring. My favorites are the unique jewelry & accessories, shoes, urban tees, dresses, leggings,& house of field styles. Basically everything!

A few of of my purchases...

I'm going through this everything black, lace, spikes, metallic phase at the moment...or forever :)

and if I was a rich girl I'd have a closet full of Gasoline Glamour...

They're offering 20% off all orders now with code EARLYSANTA20

FOTD- Black Lace Lashes

I was thrilled to stumble upon these lace lashes by Disguise in the Halloween clearance section at Target. I'd been trying to make my own out of fabric with out much success, and there was no way I was paying Shu Uemura prices! These are quite dramatic on their own, so I paired them with a nude face. I think they'd also be a lovely compliment to a lace mask or with a strong lip.

I did some searching and you can also get them online here

FOTD - Orange & Black Lips

After Halloween I'm all "makeup'ed out". I'll be retreating back in to my bubble and taking a much needed makeup break, on myself at least, expect catch up video FOTD's and reviews for a while :) Wrapping it up for October with something a little more tame, a bright orange for the work day and a lacquered black for nighttime. This is my first time wearing an orange lip outside of creative work. The juiced up shade has been staring me down in my kit but I never had the balls to wear it. Oddly enough I feel more comfortable in the black! Wearing: OCC Lip Tar in Safety Orange & Tarred .
